THE ONES WHO SUPPORT TRUTH
Jesse Croasmun grew tired of hearing “fake news” thrown around constantly. Every time he turned on the television, opened a news app, or scrolled through social media, the same frustration surfaced: news sources were incredibly biased, and there was no reliable way to measure that bias or hold anyone accountable.
The problem was clear. Chief editors, journalists, and the political inclinations of news companies all contribute to a landscape where the truth is filtered through layers of agenda. Viewers are left to guess what is real and what is manufactured. There was no mechanism for the public to voice their opinion on the credibility of the news they consumed every single day.
Jesse decided to take action. Instead of complaining about the problem, he set out to build a platform where public opinion is visible in real time. A place where every individual can tag news as biased, unbiased, or neutral, and where the collective voice of the community creates a measurable standard of truth.
That vision became Union News — a civic-tech platform where users keep their eye on everything happening in the world through an interactive news experience. Sharing opinions, creating polls, identifying bias, and participating in trivia games that make public opinion visible and measurable in real time.
A FIRM STAND AGAINST FAKE NEWS
Jesse Croasmun is the CEO and Founder of Union News. His stand on bias and fake news is very firm. He firmly believes that providing society with a medium to voice their opinion will cause the trend of fake news to diminish.
Growing up consuming news from major outlets, Jesse witnessed firsthand how narratives could be shaped to serve specific agendas. The 2016 US elections and the coverage surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine only reinforced his conviction that something needed to change.
Rather than building another news aggregator, Jesse envisioned a platform where the audience becomes an active participant in the news process. Where every opinion is tracked, every bias is flagged, and every piece of content is evaluated by the community it serves.

Prototype development kicked off. Crowdfunding preparation began, with business plans, pitch decks, and initial brand identity taking shape.
MVP DESIGN

Full app development initiated. Beta testing with select community members. Feature refinement based on real user feedback.
WEBSITE LAUNCH
