Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Our Commitment

UnionNews LLC is committed to providing equal opportunity in all aspects of employment and in all interactions with users, partners, and the public. We believe that diversity of thought, background, and experience strengthens our platform and our mission to provide a neutral, community-driven news experience. As a company dedicated to giving every person a voice, we hold ourselves to the same standard internally — ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

2. Non-Discrimination Statement

UnionNews LLC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, ethnicity, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability (physical or mental), medical condition, genetic information, marital status, familial status, veteran status, military service status, citizenship status, pregnancy, political affiliation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. This policy applies to all aspects of employment including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, placement, promotion, demotion, transfer, layoff, termination, compensation, benefits, training, and all other terms and conditions of employment.

This non-discrimination commitment extends equally to our platform users. All users of the Union News platform are entitled to access and participate in the platform's features without discrimination. Content, features, and services are provided equally to all users within their respective subscription tier.

3. Diversity and Inclusion

UnionNews LLC actively promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion within our organization and across our platform. We believe that a diverse workforce brings varied perspectives that are essential to building a platform that serves all communities fairly. Our diversity and inclusion commitments include:

  • Workforce Diversity: We actively seek to build a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, with representation across race, gender, age, disability status, sexual orientation, and other dimensions of diversity.
  • Inclusive Culture: We foster a workplace environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work. We encourage open dialogue, active listening, and mutual respect among all team members.
  • Platform Neutrality: Union News maintains strict political neutrality as an organization. Our platform is designed to amplify all voices equally and does not favor any political viewpoint, ideology, or affiliation in its algorithms, moderation practices, or content policies.
  • Community Representation: We seek feedback from diverse user groups to ensure that the Union News platform meets the needs of a broad audience and does not inadvertently exclude or disadvantage any community.
  • Vendor Diversity: Where possible, we engage with vendors, contractors, and partners from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented communities.

4. Hiring Practices

UnionNews LLC follows fair and transparent hiring practices designed to identify the best candidates based on qualifications, skills, experience, and cultural contribution. Our hiring commitments include:

  • Job postings are written using inclusive language and distributed through channels that reach diverse candidate pools.
  • All candidates are evaluated based on job-related criteria. Interview processes are standardized to minimize the impact of unconscious bias.
  • Hiring decisions are made without regard to any protected characteristic and are based solely on the candidate's ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • We do not ask candidates about salary history in jurisdictions where such inquiries are prohibited, and we strive to offer competitive, equitable compensation regardless of background.
  • Background checks, where conducted, comply with all applicable laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and any state or local ban-the-box regulations.
