By accessing or using the Union News platform, website (unionnews.net), mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UnionNews LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with its principal place of business in Pittsburgh, PA. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that your use of the Services does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
To access certain features of the Services, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Union News immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Union News reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Account suspension or termination may result in the loss of access to content and data associated with your account.
The Services allow you to post, share, and interact with content including but not limited to text, images, videos, polls, trivia games, and bias tags ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content; however, by submitting User Content to the Services, you grant UnionNews LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the Services and Union News's business operations.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Union News reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate, without prior notice.
Union News provides tools for users to tag news content as "Biased," "Unbiased," or "Neutral." These tags represent individual user opinions and community consensus and do not constitute official editorial positions of UnionNews LLC. Union News does not endorse, verify, or validate any particular bias tag or voting outcome. The platform maintains strict political neutrality and does not take any partisan position.
The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and other content provided by Union News (excluding User Content), are the property of UnionNews LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Union News proprietary content without our prior written consent.
Certain features of the Services require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are subject to change, but we will provide advance notice of any price increases. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, UNIONNEWS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICES.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Union News reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
